Jade & Aaron's Pre-Wedding Shoot

It was a real pleasure to spend the day with Jade & Aaron for their pre-wed in August. The two locations they chose were Lilleshall Abbey and Himley Hall. Having shot at Lilleshall a few times before, I am still surprised about how well the abbey has survived over the years and holds many beautifully backdrops in which to photograph the couple. Himley is another lovely, popular location with its vast lake, country house and woodland, offering up possibilities for some great stuff.
The guys are such a loving, genuine couple who were very comfortable with each other. I enjoyed showing them how I go about capturing that emotion on camera and like them, was very pleased with the results.
I look forward to spending another, more celebratory day with them, friends and family in October!

Gill & James' Wedding

I have the pleasure in showcasing the wedding of Gill & James who had their civil wedding ceremony at Madeley Court Hotel in Telford, a beautiful location right on my doorstep.
On my recce a few days before, I scouted out a few beautiful backdrops for Gill's details and was spoilt for choice at the options. Gill doesn't take herself too seriously and immediately put everyone at ease so it was a nice, calm atmosphere to be a part of. I enjoyed getting to know her father who was a very lovely, genuine man. He narrated all of my photos by saying words like "lovely, excellent, great, fantastic..." which in turn, made everyone laugh! He would be the perfect assistant. It is alway special to do a 'first look' shot with the father & daughter and I can't think of many other jobs where you get the opportunity to witness such lovely moments - a thing I'm sure I will never tire of.
Then it was time to meet up with the guys. James' family had just arrived at the hotel bar for a quick tipple before greeting guests in the run up to the wedding. I joined James as he finished getting ready and was on hand to calm the nerves and help with his cufflinks (which on your wedding morning is like solving a rubik's cube) before making our way to the courtyard to grab some shots with the rest of the boys.
Because Madeley is a 16th century Manor house, it still has a lot of its original features, like its large archways, beautiful old doors and the grand gatehouse to name a few. It made an amazing location for their intimate, fun couple shots in which I specialise in. Hope you enjoy looking through their day...
