Hannah & Ross' Wedding

'All You Need Is Love' - The Beatles said it first but it's also a sentiment echoed by Hannah & Ross on their wedding day!
Their wedding took me back to one of my favourite venues, Pendrell Hall in Codsall on a very sunny day in July but they were married at their local church of St Mary Magdalene in Albrighton.
So... where do I start with this one. We first headed to Pendrell as Hannah decided to make full use of the prep room and have her hair and make up done there. The room always has beautiful light and I don't have to look far to find areas for amazing detail shots. I then left the girls to go and meet Ross & his Groomsman at their home to catch a few finishing touches, before joining them for the journey to the church. Ross & his dad own the car garage in Albrighton so obviously, cars played a big part in the day. He drove himself and one of his nephews in a 1926 Morris Cowley, followed by his Dad in a 1965 Mark 1 Lotus Cortina.
After spending some time with Ross, it was time to walk over to Hannah's Mum & Dad's house in the village a couple of minutes away. Hannah, a big beaming smile ever present, was all ready to jump in her dress as we captured those all important shots with her mum, bridesmaids and dad in those minutes leading up to the ceremony.
I have to quickly mention the greatest 'selfie' of all time which the guys took straight after signing the register! Look out for that gem...
Days before, I had the idea to try and find a field on the way from the church to Pendrell where we could park the car, that has been such a labour of love for Ross, and do something a bit different. So, during my location recce, I hunted for possibilities and after stalking a few farmers ;-), I managed to charm one who was only too happy to help even though he looked a bit puzzled by the whole thing! It made for some truly cool shots and gave the couple an excuse to enjoy the sunshine, not to mention each others company.
The thing I like most about Pendrell is the great contrast that it provides. From the Victorian Country House with its stone archways and original fireplaces to the modern interiors give you great scope for pictures. Also, outside gives a photographer the sweeping panoramas of fields and woodlands, surrounding more formal gardens where Hannah & Ross' guests enjoyed the sunshine whilst being entertained by the acoustic guitarist, Luke Andrew Brown. The ballroom was the scene for this, with its walls of painted blue, big ornate mirrors and stained glass skylights, enhanced by the guys complimentary colours and tall, floral centrepieces looked stunning. They also had a bit of fun with their table names and there's a few examples below for you to check out.
Also, in a first for me, Ross, to battle his nerves and the obvious emotion, surprised everyone by standing on his chair to deliver his speech and you know what... it worked.
After the breakfast I grabbed the guys again and took the opportunity, as the sun was beginning to set, to grab a last few, relaxed couple shots, before their evening guests arrived and the dancing could begin.
So to come full circle, all that was left was to cut their 'All You Need Is Love' cake and dance the night away, accompanied by their fantastic DJ, Matt from Velocity Roadshow.
It was an absolute pleasure guys... :-)
