Emma & Damien's Wedding

This is the last blog of 2012 and what a year it has been! Emma & Damien's wedding was a great way to finish in style.
They were married at St Bertoline Church in Barthomley and had their reception at Crewe Hall in Cheshire, both locations were perfectly suited to a winter wedding. Although they didn't have much luck with the weather, they managed to smile through it as they became man and wife.
Unbeknownst to the couple, Damien's parents made sure they at least had some snow on their wedding day by arranging a snow machine above the entrance as the guests arrived at Crewe Hall. Avery sweet idea!
The christmas festivities were heightened by miniature mince pies, mulled wine and christmas carols played beautifully by flutists from Emma's school, 'Wolstanton High School' which made for a very pleasant welcome on a cold day and a lovely personal touch.
Emma & Damien are two very creative people who had a elegant, simple theme running throughout their wedding, starting with their bespoke order of service's, continuing with the table embellishments and finishing with their cake, all designed with style in mind.
Special mentions have to go to the best man, Damien's brother Stephen (and his wife Erin), for creating handmade, personalised dolls of the couple which certainly got the biggest laugh of the day.
Also to Emma's maid of honour Gill whose amazing poem not only delighted the bride & groom but also the remaining 80 or so guests listening intently to each line.
A wedding photographer usually has the longest relationship with the couple, sometimes stretching up to 2 years and its always sad to bid farewell but, as always, I wish them a lifetime of happiness together and thank them, whole heartedly, for choosing ATD to be there...
