Katie & Pete's Wedding

Next up comes the beautiful wedding of Katie & Peter. They were married at St Michael's Church in Madeley and had their reception at the Old Vicarage Hotel in Worfield.
Katie decided to get ready at the Old Vicarage so, I met her and the girls there, before going onto the church to meet Pete and the lads. Pete is such a chilled, genuine bloke, so I really enjoyed this time in a relaxed atmosphere before their guests started to arrive. By the time I had finished, Katie had made her way to her parents house which is a few minutes away from the church. So, I jumped back in the car to capture her getting in her dress, helped by her mum and sister with a very proud dad patiently waiting to escort his daughter down the aisle. She looked stunning as she made her way to Pete at the altar and as I was not allowed to set foot on the carpet (v.strict vicar!), I made full use of the balcony above instead.
We were blessed with perfect weather which only highlighted the country feel to the venue and the guys were really with me on what I wanted to achieve.
They dressed the orangery with tall vases full of vivid flowers including roses of pinks, purples and whites and had a two tier wedding cake to cut, along with some lovely cupcakes of different flavours.
The guys wedding was the day before Autumn officially started but, there were early signs, especially with the old tree starting to lose it's leaves in the back garden and the colours that it created for backdrops.
Katie is very likeable, sweet and really cared about each detail that she felt was important to her, even down to her glittery white converse trainers which, she could change into for the evening celebrations. The last thing on my shot list was to capture a night shot of the building on the way home as I left a very happy, newly married couple to start the next chapter of their lives together.
