Next up is the pre-wed of Lotte & Rob in May. The guys started by taking me to Blists Hill, a local tourist attraction of an old victorian town in Ironbridge. It's somewhere where I've wanted to go for a while with a couple and with Lotte's connections in Marketing for all of Ironbridge's attractions, we had the perfect way in. I loved contrasting this young, modern couple with all the old, character-full backdrops that we discovered around the vast site. Unfortunately, the rain was ever present but I think that all added to the mood of the images. We continued onto Ironbridge itself to feature the glorious bridge, before finishing the shoot by having a quick walk in a wood by their house. This gave the shoot an extra dimension and allowed me to use those beautiful colours that the overcast conditions created.
Self confessed haters of their photo being taken (especially Rob ;-)), the guys were a bit worried beforehand but that's why my job is so great. I am able to change people's perceptions of how they think they look on a photograph and true to form, within a short time, I had the guys on-side and enjoying themselves. We created some amazing pictures and I'm happy to say that they loved them too!
